  5. Pittsburgh was spelled without the “H” until 1911.
  6. The Cathedral of learning is the 2nd tallest University building in the world.
  7. Do you use emojis a lot? The first Emoticon was invented in Pittsburgh by a CMU professor.
  8. The Big Mac was invented on McKnight Road.
  9. The first ever banana split was made by an apprentice at a Latrobe Pharmacy in 1904.
  10. Nabisco had a factory int he East End that operated between 1918-1998. Walnut Capital purchased the building in 2007. In 2009, Bakery Square was born!
