Bakery Square shoppers and guests will enjoy live music all summer long in front of Coffee Tree Roasters!

TechShop Pittsburgh is hosting its first annual summer exhibition on Saturday, June 22nd from 10:00am until 5:00pm.

The event will feature local makers, restaurants, businesses, and other parts of the East End’s creative community. Enjoy a day filled with food, music, demos, workshops, contests, giveaways, and most importantly…fun! Learn how to solder, build a Japanese tool chest, silk screen a bandana, and more. Be aware of your surroundings in the city and beyond and ready to avoid potentially dangerous situations! Personal safety and self defense expert, John Brown of 3T Solutions, is hosting Safety in the City a FREE workshop on Sunday, April 21st from 1-4pm at Bakery Square. The FREE event is geared primarily towards women, although spouses and family members are also welcome to attend! 3T will take us through both presentation and demonstration scenarios that will leave you feeling armed with the confidence and plan for ultimate personal safety. Brown’s unique approach focuses on anticipation and preparation that will help make you more aware and smart about your surroundings, no matter where your day takes you.

BkSq’s Family Fun in the Square & I Made It! Jr + Healthy Living Market April 20th

Join us for 2nd Annual BkSq Family Fun in the Square on Saturday, April 20th from Noon-3pm featuring live music by DJ Matt Donnelly and the kid-friendly entertainment duo The Gab and Josh Show performing their anti-bullying Musical Comedy Program.

Family Fun in the Square is an afternoon of balloon twisters from Airheads Balloons, a special I Made It! Market Jr. featuring handmade items for kids and babies and healthy living products. BkSq and Farm to Table Pittsburgh will be hosting family friendly activities, and Franktuary and BRGR Food Trucks will be on-site as well!

Over 21+ guests can enjoy beer for a suggested donation will benefit the Pittsburgh Three Rivers Kids Marathon & Kids of STEEL program!

Family Fun in the Square is a FREE all ages event. Parking is available for free in the Bakery Square garage. We hope to celebrate Earth Day together at BkSq!

Mayor Ravenstahl, joined by Bike Pittsburgh, Bakery Square and project stakeholders, celebrated the launch of Pittsburgh’s first-ever bike share system on Monday, March 11th, 2013. 500 bikes will be available at 50 different access points across the city. On February 14th, 2013 we broke ground on Bakery 2.0 expanding the BkSq campus across Penn Avenue. Imagine Pittsburgh was there to cover our event!

“The recent groundbreaking for Bakery Square 2.0 – a “world-class development … offer[ing] amazing office and housing opportunities that will attract new businesses and residents,” according Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl.
